About CVU Baseball
Having been recently named the top high school baseball program in the State of Vermont, the Champlain Valley Redhawks Baseball program was launched in 1964 upon the opening of the largest high school in the state, Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU). While we proudly represent the five supportive communities of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George and Williston, and despite the program not hitting its stride until 1970, the Redhawks continue to compete on the highest level of competition that exists in Vermont.
SUPERIOR REPUTATION
Since 1970, the CVU Baseball Program has earned 39 Division I State Tournament Bids, 15 Final Four Appearances, 9 Vermont State Baseball Championships Appearances, and 6 Vermont State Baseball Championships (2003, 2012, 2013, 2019, 2021, 2023). CVU is also an member of the powerful Vermont Metro Baseball League, capturing 8 Metro League Titles (1999, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023), and has over 90 players who have earned All-Metro Team Honors. Lastly, our program has been represented by numerous players who have played on all levels of college baseball, been drafted by MLB teams, and have represented CVU in the Twin State Senior All-Star Classic.
ELITE COACHING STAFF
The CVU Baseball Coaching Staff represents the heart of the CVU Baseball Program. Each individual brings an unique level of experience and expertise to the game of baseball, while representing the seven phrases that is the foundation of this program. The staff, who have played, worked and lived locally are also committed to passing along the necessary skills from prior experiences to players to make them successful on and off the baseball field.
PREMIER BASEBALL FIELD
Thanks to the support of the surrounding communities, CVU and our fans, we are fortunate enough to have a baseball field that is maintained everyday thanks to dedicated individuals including the CVU custodial staff. We are proud to have a field that accommodates our fans with bleachers, an scoreboard, an on-field sound system, extra large dugouts for the teams and the use of premium field conditions. These extra features have made many classify our field as one of the best in the state.
MONDERNIZED TECHNOLOGY
CVU Baseball was the first team to have an website in 1995. Ever since then, the program has emphasized communication and development, as we are considered the most user-friendly for players, parents, fans, and almost everyone else. We also have the most up to date information than any other program through this website, email, X, Facebook, Instagram, FieldLevel, and many more. Lastly, those who cannot make the game can follow it online through Gamechanger!
PLAYER-DRIVEN PROGRAM
The CVU Baseball Program has an strong tradition of putting their player first with the student first approach, leading to the ultimate goal of having our players graduate from high school. Over 95% of our players continue their educational journey by attending college. We strive to have our players leave CVU with an strong spirit, strong skill set, and attitude that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
STRONG COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Thanks to the past, present and future teams, along with high school spirit, the CVU Baseball Program draws more community support and fan support throughout the year than any other program in the state.
